ALITHINOS Dimitris

Born in Athens, he studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts and the Academia di Belle Arti in Rome, and architecture at the École Spéciale d’Architecture in Paris. He appeared on the international art scene in the early ’70s and remains consistently present to this day through numerous solo exhibitions, happenings, performances and artistic actions in Greece and abroad. He has participated in dozens of group shows, and has represented Greece in major events such as the Biennials of Paris, Sao Paolo, Istanbul, Cairo and Venice. In 2015 he was awarded by the Greek Art Critics’ Association (AICA HELLAS) for the contribution of his oeuvre to the history of Greek Art.
