PASTRA Nausica, Rhythms-Relationships, 1991, Sculpture with base, 97 x 93 x 68 cm(with the base dimensions at 135 x135 cm) Courtesy of Emmanuel Mavrommatis

Exploring rhythms, spatiality and kinetics, using analogue systems as independent systems for marking the constant variability and mobility of space under different interventions. Influenced by the Geometric Art movement she investigated the role of geometric shapes, not only within art but in the history of visual perception of the world. By combining the square, the circle and their volumetric representation in cube and sphere, she established the basis for the creation of a laboratory whose applications and developments could potentially be used to build a universe. This work, part οf the series   “Rhythms Relationships” , shows the relationship of the artist with space, dynamics, and visualizing systems.
