Inspired by the dramatic and literary works, the artist selects quotations from writer’s texts that behave in an autonomous and independent way. This work is a reference to Samuel Beckett where these golden coated surfaces are details of an enormous fragment A part of the enormous jig-saw puzzle from words that overwhelms us all. An over-enlarged surface, which holds together the broken parts glued together with gold echoing the Jin Shan in Chinese the traditional Chinese lacquer technique. The gold plated in interaction with the led scripture creates a new dialectic between elements used both in ancient civilisations of Greece and China and in contemporary visual languages.
