The video Ship of Fools presents a group of men stacked aboard a lifeboat floating aimlessly adrift in the sea of time. In the deep darkness, the trapped beings now surrender to their cruel fate. They are travellers without a destination, tortured, tragic figures who endure their suffering. These men experience rejection and marginalization, while at the same time water acts as an element of purification. The project is a reference to Hieronymus Bosch’s painting “Ship of Fools”, and the tale from the dark side of the Middle Ages, according to which,  “fools”  were loaded on ships with an unknown destination and also to Michel Foucault’s book “Madness and Civilization”.
